The Secret to Diet Pills

In order to lose weight you must burn more calories or eat fewer calories than you currently are. Having said this, it would make sense that eating less would cause you to lose weight, which it does. However, you must be careful not to starve your body. Your body needs a particular amount of nutrients and vitamins in order to function properly, which includes properly digesting the food you eat. Knowing this you may be wondering, then why do diet pills and many other diets not work?

Diet pills help to suppress your appetite, which means you should eat less often and less quantity than you do now. Whether a particular diet pill works for you – meaning it suppresses your appetite – only you would know; everyone reacts differently. Let’s say, for argument sake, that the diet pills you have taken did work, you ate less, lost a few pounds, but gained it back once you got off the pills. This same scenario happens with many popular diets and fad diets as well.

So yes the pills and diets work, but only for a short period of time. Diets and diet pills, yes suppress your appetite, causing you to eat less; however, you are actually eating too little – starving your body. When you get hungry – really hungry – and then eat, your body stores all of those calories, and turns them into fat for later use as energy. The body, and how it works, is an intricate thing, but there is one main reason this happens. Your body thinks, when it gets really hungry, that it is starving. Therefore, when it finally gets food, common sense tells you it will store it (kind of like a bear going into hibernation).

Just because diet pills force you to eat less, does not mean that your body is not hungry, it just means you cannot hear it. Surely, at this point, you have figured out why diet pills do not work. If you are not eating when you need to, then your body is storing everything you eat, which – over time – will turn into weight gain.

This happens with a number of diets as well. The most common focus of the majority of popular diets is to eat less. However, if eating less means that you are not eating the proper amounts for your particular body, you will gain weight. You may lose weight at first, because it is a shock to the system, but you will gain that, and then some, back.

Please do not misunderstand, there is nothing wrong with eating less if you need to. There is; however, something wrong with starving yourself. The best and most proven diet is to actually eat more often throughout the day, this stops your body from getting overly hungry and storing the food. Eating smaller portions more frequently will allow your body to process and function, as it needs to, and as an added bonus, your metabolism will speed up.

The secret to diet pills is there is no secret. They are for temporary use only, maybe to get your self-esteem up about being able to lose weight. In actuality, it is all up to you. All you have to do is fuel your body with the proper nutrients, throughout the day, and you will be able to lose weight.
