The Common Approach to Weight Loss and Diets


The most common approach to dieting and diet pills is weight loss. Every wonder why, when you diet, you feel hungry and fatigued? Most diets leave your body hungry, as you are not consuming enough nutrients and / or calories to thrive. Back to weight loss as the common approach to dieting. Here’s the trick – live HEALTHY not skinny!

As human beings we have a natural tendency to be unhappy with something about ourselves, and in today’s society, this unhappiness tends to come from weight and size. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to look your best, and striving to do so. There is; however, something really wrong with taking this to the extreme of severe dieting and diet pills. (Dieting, diet pills, and weight loss programs are not bad – in themselves – as long as they are done moderately and for short term goals.)

Our bodies are instinctively smart, and while complicated, are not complicated for us to manage on our own, and without starving it. Buying into the whole “lose 10 pounds in 1 week” or “you should be a size 2 for your height” or “your BMI is excessive for you age and height”, and then turning around and dieting, is unhealthy and wrong. It’s not about being a certain weight or size, it’s about leading a healthy lifestyle, feeding your body properly, and naturally becoming the you that you desire!

Living healthy, eating healthy, and exercising appropriately are the best ways for anyone to become healthy, and live that way. Whether this lifestyle makes your skinnier or helps you to lose weight, it creates a healthy inside that will last a lifetime – unlike dieting and diet pills.

All of this said, sometimes you need a boost to get going along the right path. If this boost is a light diet, or diet pills, that is fine. Keep in mind – this needs to be for the short term – NOT for a lifelong commitment. Losing weight is not the ideal goal – becoming healthy is.

Building an exercise program, along with a proper eating regimen, is the best way for anyway to lose some weight and become that healthy person that will live a long healthy life. A good exercise program will consist of 20-30 minutes of cardio, along with strength training.

The combination of these two builds, strengthens, and leans your muscles, which increases your metabolism. A proper eating regimen consists of 5-6 small meals, evenly spaced throughout the day, that consist of fruits, vegetables, grains, and protein.

Eating in this manner will also increase your metabolism. One of the great advantages to this is that a quicker metabolism will increase the amount of fat that your body burns, in turn, helping you to lose weight. As you can see, focusing on a healthy lifestyle, rather than focusing on losing weight, will give you the results you desire and them some!
